Just Off the Catamaran? Here's Where to Eat in Hvar First

The catamaran from Split docks at Stari Grad, on the opposite side of Hvar island from Hvar Town. What you do next determines the first hour of your visit.

The standard route and why it's slow

Most people take the public bus from the Stari Grad ferry port to Hvar Town. The ride takes 20 to 25 minutes depending on traffic. In July and August the bus fills up fast; if you miss it, you wait up to an hour for the next one. Taxis exist but they're expensive and not always available immediately. By the time you arrive in Hvar Town and sit down to eat, a chunk of your afternoon is gone.

The speedboat option

We have two private speedboats available for daily rental - Enduro 705 (up to 6 guests) and Noblesse 790 (up to 8 guests). Whether you want to visit the Pakleni Islands, find a hidden beach, or simply cruise the Adriatic for an afternoon, you can book a full or half-day charter through our website. The boats are moored at the Hvar harbour, a short walk from the restaurant.

What to eat when you arrive

After a catamaran in summer, you want something cold and substantial. We'd suggest:

• If it's before noon: Toast California or the Delicious Monster sandwich with a fresh-pressed juice or smoothie.
• If it's lunch: Tagliata Royale or Truffle Kissed Sea Bass as a main, or a large pasta like Gorgonzola Beef or Marigo Mediterrano.
• If you're not very hungry: A veggie salad, watermelon salad, or a bowl with grilled protein.
• If you just want to sit: A cold beer or Aperol Spritz and whatever looks good on the daily menu.

Planning the rest of the day

The Riva is walkable from the restaurant. The fortress above Hvar Town is a 15-minute climb with a view worth the effort. Beaches are a short walk or a quick water taxi away. If you want to spend the afternoon on the water, we can arrange a speedboat charter after your meal.
